予想に反して、全く残念な結果とはなっていません。

学習途上ですが、様子を見てみました。

Supervisor画像は、従来手法とマニュアル修正とで作成したものです。

この画像には、ボーダー、背表紙裏、汚れ、隣のページは存在しません。

ＡＩの出力結果では、

１．ボーダーは消える　（期待通り）

２．汚れは残る　（期待に反して）

３．隣のページも残る　（期待に反して）

となっています。

The supervisor images were created using traditional techniques and manual correction.

In these images, the borders, spine, dirt, and adjacent pages have been removed.

The AI output results are as follows:

1. Borders disappear (as expected)

2. Dirt remains (unexpected)

3. Adjacent pages remain (unexpected)

AI Trial for facsimile cleaning (5)

各国の図書館で公開されている当時の楽譜は、その劣化の様子は千差万別。

これまでは、どんな汚れ方の楽譜でも対応できるオールマイティなAIを作ろうとしました。しかし、学習データの作成と必要な学習時間の両方において、途方もない手間・時間がかかることに気付きました。

「特定の曲集に特化したAI」を作ったとすれば、その曲集は期待するクリーニングがなされるでしょう。当然ながら、劣化の仕方が異なる別の曲集には使えないことは承知の上で。目的によっては、「過学習」こそが優れていると言えるでしょう。

ということで、今回はMoutonのLivre 1でトライしてみます。

それでも、学習には２～３週間かかります。最新のGPUを使ってもその半分くらいにしかなりません。

上手くいけば、次は別の曲集で、

Past scores are available in libraries around the world. And the type and degrees of deterioration of them varies greatly.

I tried to make a general-purpose AI that can deal with any of them on scores. However, I realized that this would take a huge amount of time and effort both on creating the training data and the training time.

If I make an AI that is specialized for a specific collection, it will clean that collection as expected. Of course, it cannot be used for other collections with different types and degrees of deterioration. But that is not a problem.

So, this time, I will try it with Mouton's Livre 1. Even so, it will take 2 to 3 weeks to train. Even with the latest GPU, it will take about half that time.

If it works, I will try it with a different collection of scores next time.

AI Trial for facsimile cleaning (4)

オリジナル画像(劣化画像)と教師画像をセットにして学習。

前回のような背景部の輝度ムラは抑えられました。

ただし、水平線成分は、そのコントラストは明瞭になったものの、細くなり、また、欠落が見られます。

教師画像に細い線や欠落が含まれていたことが原因でしょう。

Trained the model using a set of the original image and the supervisor image.

The model reduced the uneven brightness in the background that was seen last time.

However, although the contrast of the horizontal line components became clearer, they became thinner and were missing.

This result is thought to be because the supervisor image contained thinner lines and missing parts.

学習を完了させると、前回のようなゴーストは現れなくなりました。

依然として、背景部の輝度ムラが抑えられていません(前回は示さず)。

学習教材として何を与えるか、どのように調達するかが課題となります。

Once the learning was complete, the ghost disappeared.

However, there is still a problem with suppressing uneven brightness in the background.

The next issue will be what learning materials to provide and how to obtain them.

AI Trial for facsimile cleaning (2)

AiにMinkoff他のモノクロ画像を学習させてみました。

すると、

１．カラーがモノクロに

２．コントラストが強調される

３．バックグランドノイズがあるとゴーストが現れる

４．教師画像より綺麗になるが欠損が発生

学習途中段階の評価なので、まだ断定はできません。

Trained AI to learn Minkoff and other supervisor images.

The AI outputs ...

1. Color images are converted to monochrome images

2. Contrast is enhanced

3. Ghosts appear when the input image contains background noise

4. The images are clearer than the training images, but defects appear

This is just a result of ongoing learning.

綺麗にはなっていますが、拡大するとニジミが少し気になります。

しかし、A4サイズにした場合は分かりませんので実用的には問題ありません。

さらにクリアにする方法を見つけました。

左：オリジナル　｜　右：クリーニング後

全体的に特に水平線が、オリジナルより細くなっているのが少し気になりますが、実用的には問題ありません。

水平線を太くしたければ追加工が可能です。

Facsimiles list updated

右カラムのFacsimiles情報について、これまででは少し大き目の更新を施しまた。

同じ実体において、紹介のされ方、表示のされ方、検索から飛んだ場合で、異なるURLが存在することから、重複してリストに載ってしまうことがありました。また、図書館によってはサイトの更新時に、微妙に異なる作品名や説明文が付けられることもあります。

重複を避けるために、本サイトでは参照先のURLは極力パーマネントURLに統一するようにしています。重複が判明したものは削除しましたが、検索の都合上、あえて重複を許しているものがあります。

なお、今回は、 (D-B), (D-BNu), (D-KA), (D-Tu) にて１９世紀ギターの作品が沢山見つかりました。また。 (D-Dl) にはBasso Continuo関連作品を沢山追加しました。

Facsimiles information in the right column has been a little major updated.

Different URLs exist for the same facsimile depend on how they are referred, displayed, if you jumped from a search, etc.

Duplicated information could be on the list so far. This site tries to unify URLs to permanent URLs.

Duplicated information has been removed, but for the convenience of searches, some duplicates have been daringly allowed to exist.
