The Lute in Europe 2 - Lutes, Guitars, Mandolins, and Citterns

昨日に続いて本日、The Lute in Europe 2が届きました。
こちらは佐藤豊彦さん経由で、LGS(Lute and Early Guitar Society Japan)の櫻田さんから送っていただきました。
こちらは450 pagesもある分厚い本で、読み応えがあります。
ドイツ語は分かりませんが（分かろうとしていませんが）、英語は平易な文章で書かれているのが救いです。

The Lute in Europe - A History to Delight

3～4年前だったか、ソプラノの加藤佳代子さんからこの本の存在を紹介していただきましたので、著者のAndreas Schlegel氏に問い合わせてみましたら、国内で扱っている店を詳細されました。
しかし、ある人がまとめて注文してくれるというので当てにしていたのですが、うやむやになってしまっていました。
今回、改めてAndreas Schlegel氏にお尋ねしたら、LSAのNancy Carlynさんと、佐藤豊彦さんを紹介されました。LSAではThe Lute in Europeのみの在庫で、佐藤さんの方はThe Lute in Europe2のみの在庫のようでした。
本日、LSAからThe Lute in Europeが届きました。本体価格はたったの＄10。以前は3000円？位はしていたと思います。結局、送料の方が高くつきましたが、それでも以前より安いです。
まもなく、佐藤豊彦さん（実際に動かれるのは櫻田亨さん）からThe Lute in Europe2も届くと思います。

Temperament Tuner

歴史的な音律(historical temperaments)のためのチューナとして、Windowsで上で使えるWinTemperというフリーのソフトが2007年に作者から紹介され、色々なリュート奏者が使ってます。評判は良いようです。MAC版もあるようです。

私は、iPadで使えるCleartune - Chromatic Tunerをよく使います。当然ですが、チューナ使用中はfacsimileの画面は表示できません。

主にはKORGのOT-12を使っているのですが、生産終了となっています。壊れたらもう代替えはありません。と思っていましたが、後継機のOT-120が発売されており安心しました。

Harpsichordist and Conductor Gustav Leonhardt has died.

グスタフ・レオンハルトが天国に行かれました。
Born May 30, 1928; died January 16, 2012 享年83歳でした。

現在のバロック音楽の興隆を築いた功績は大きく、彼の存在が多くの人をバロック音楽ファンにさせたのは事実だと思います。若いころは何度も何度もバッハのLPを聞いたものでした。
ご冥福をお祈りします。
